Squats are one of the best exercises for every goal. The problem is people think "heavy back squat" when they hear squat and imagine their knees exploding. There are all sorts of squats and just about anyone can do some variation to reap the benefits.

I read his book Original Strength and while I liked it, I think they attributed too much amazing fixes happening from hip rocks and crawling

I just recently started doing squats. It's a great exercise that takes quite a bit of effort. It's a tougher exercise than the bench press.

I like the primal movement stuff. It's great for rehab and it's fun.
