For anyone who works out during lunch, what do you do with your smelly clothes all afternoon? Letting them bake in the sun in the car doesn't seem like a good thing. The only thing worse would be stinking up your cubicle.
I guess I let them bake in the car all afternoon. I had no idea I was committing a faux pas.
Same here. Main tip is spread them out a bit. This allows them to actually dry. The bad smell only comes when you leave them balled up in your gym bag :P
For a long time I had a really nice gym in the building where I worked and a private office. So over time I snagged about 50 free trade show t-shirts and an extra cabinet for my office. The top drawer was clean stuff, the bottom one was dirty. Once every couple months the bottom drawer's contents went home with me to get washed. It worked fine as long as you opened and closed it quickly each day.
Now I work and exercise at home so I just put stuff int he laundry as needed. I think most people use gym bags which are usually sufficient to contain a little sweat for the afternoon. If you get really sweaty then use a plastic bag inside as an extra barrier.

Good to know. I sweat a lot on cardio days, so my clothes are pretty wet by the end. I just don't want my car to smell like the gym.
Ok - but here's the REAL question - what do you do with your hair???
My head is the main thing that sweats and my hair gets dripping wet. Hence, I simply don't try to do lunchtime workouts anymore.
Dang it.
Yeah a shower is an absolute must for me after any kind of workout, especially if I am returning to work. Can you take a slightly longer lunch break, and stay a bit later at the end of the day?
I typically do my lifting mid-morning. My usual routine is to take my morning meetings (often involving folks in Europe, hence the morning time) from home. Then I hit the gym, shower, and head into the office. I just make up the time as needed by staying later or putting in some extra time on non-workout days.
Of course, many folks work culture doesn't have the flexibility of mine, so I know I'm lucky . That said, a lot of bosses in my experience don't mind you taking, say, a 1.5hr lunch so you can get a workout in, shower, change, etc, so long as the time is made up elsewhere.
