Hello, I need some advice. I started a new workout class, and the instructor said we will be doing a lot of cardio and body weight workouts. I was able to do everything except the Russian Twist. I got a few in, but it was very difficult for me to twist without dropping my feet down. Is there any other workout I can do to improve the Russian Twist, or do I just keep going until I get it down? I am currently searching google for alternatives, or advice and come up short. Thank you for your time.
You can modify the twist by keeping your feet on the floor. You will still benefit from it. Do other core exercises and before you know it you will be able to lift your feet.
I kept my feet down at first. Then lifted one leg at a time. Now I can do them with my feet up, no problem. Modifications are OK. Just push yourself to try as many the traditional way as you can first.
