I envy those of you who like to run. I never got the breathing down, even when I was at my most fit (uh, a long time ago). I belonged to a gym for a while and often used the elliptical cross-trainers, but I tend to hold my breath. I wish I knew how to break that habit.
It's starting to warm up here in Chicagoland ... last weekend was unseasonable mild, around 50 degrees, and all the runners and cyclists came out. It was nice to see people outdoors again.
I LOVE the colors. The running shoes are really nice!
I would love to buy all new clothes for running, but can't afford it. I have good shoes, but the rest is all junk. Oh, well....
Good shoes are the most important thing.
Most of my work-out clothes, exept for sportsbras, are several years old. Since I recently started running with a friend a few times per week I felt I needed tights that weren't threadbare and a jacket that didn't have "perma-funk".
Unfortunately "spring" went away again this weekend. I had to pull out my wool socks, stocking cap and heavy-weight tights again yesterday.
