I second this advice. The best hiking boots under $100 are the ones which properly fit your feet. And because everyone's feet are a bit different, you can't just go by brand name. Brand A may fit my feet wonderfully and your feet horribly (or visa-versa).

This is an 8 year old thread. I think the OP has probably gotten their boots and wore them out by now.
