The last thing you want to try wiping with is something slick... just sorts of smears everything around *ick*
Another tip for dry cabins with outhouses and no running water --- wet wipes! Great for "washing up" without having to touch the jug handle with dirty hands. Just don't leave them in the outhouse in the winter or they will freeze into a brick.

I am guessing there is no power in an outhouse, which means a wipe warmer is probably too much to ask for. Then again, not so sure how they would work in sub-zero temps.

I've found 12v "Travel" wipe warmers in baby stores, but you really don't want to get your skin wet outside in the winter so it's more useful to use them once you're back inside. In emergency situations (i.e. the trots), I just put a few in zipper bag and keep them inside my coat when I head to the outhouse.
