West Fargo is a nice town with good schools. The city has it's own flood protection so you are good if you live within the city limits. Other towns you would need to research before you buy anything.

West Fargo has good schools but has some recent issues with overcrowding and growth. They will get through it will continue it's high standards.

The Fargo community in general has things to do, but you are not looking at a huge night life type town. I suppose it depends where you are from though. I'm from a city with 5M people so to me there's not much to do. But part of the charm and appeal to the area is everything being family oriented, safe and stable.

West Fargo is right next to Fargo and its commercial section along 13th Ave South kind of blends in with each other. As mentioned earlier....West Fargo has seen a lot of residential growth as there is less land to build on in Fargo proper. With residential growth has come the crowded schools and quite a bit of controversy over building another high school. There is one, West Fargo, and those that lived in the town for a long time would prefer to keep one HS in town. There are two main areas....north of I-94 and closer to Main Ave is the older section of town while most of the growth as occurred south of I-94. The schools located in that part of town have the most overcrowding. Schools are good no matter where....and the WF school district does extend into a part of southwest Fargo as well.

Night life, restaurants, etc are close by with a lot of growth along 45th SW which is very near the Fargo-West Fargo line. I dont recal specifically where one begins and the other ends.
