Has anyone here had a membership to a 24 hour tanning salon? If so, was the membership $$ worth the convienience of being able to tan when you want to?

I think you should buy a couple single sessions to try out a place before you make a 50$ commitment. I like single session for me because I never used it to really "tan" but more to just clear my skin and add a little color. I only had to go a couple time a month so it really was not worth it for my situation. I would add up the cost while you get a couple sessions in while you try out the beds they have and inspect the place.

Good points! I will def. do the single session thing to check it out first. I like the concept of being able to go on off hours, I am a nurse, and I work second and third shifts and can't always get to the tanning salon during normal hours. There is a new salon open in South carolina where I live that sounds pretty cool.....24 hour access with fingerprint identification, so sci-fi (LOL)......and they have panic buttons in each room, direct to the police. What else should i look for, any suggestions?

Well I would only go in the stand up booth type. The lay down beds may be cheaper but they don't give a good even tan. The skin that is squashed on the glass gets more tan so it looks off unless you go super dark. Also you want to not be in contact with the bed because of chance of: fungus, lice, bedbugs. That is being kinda ultra paranoid but better paranoid than sorry. ☺

That does sound cool. I would ask if you can bring a sanitation spray into the room. I always cleaned any booth before I used it. The girls working never seemed to mind because well..I think girls like that are generally germabobes as well. LOL
I would also put my stuff in a plastic bag to avoid bed bugs creeping in. There is an rage I guess by the way the news portrays it.I thin it would be annoying to deal with. I plan on tanning soon and I am going to grab one of those huge ziplock storage bags to throw my stuff in while baking. They sell them at walmart usually.

I've never used a tanning system. I could see where this would be real popular in areas where there wasn't so much access to simple sun bathing.
