Hi Kelsie B. I know it has been a bit since you posted this topic, but I recently came by it and I just wanted to say that I think it is perfectly fine to wear the jacket if you want to. You asked if it would be lame to wear the jacket after high school. I would say not at all. What is lame, however, is when people try to tell you that you can't be yourself and do what you want as an individual (or worse yet be mean about it). Mindless conformity is lame. There is no individuality in being a "sheep in the herd". How boring. I am a very nostalgic person myself, and I never liked the mantra "Act your Age". What does that even mean? Who decides how a person should act? Now THAT is lame. I hope you are still wearing the jacket. Take care.

Reason: fixed
Ehh. It needs to be replaced with a college one. Don't wear high school stuff after high school unless its coach gear. I can't help but think of Al Bundy and the stereotype with those glory days of high school only. Especially since it was a cheer jacket. It being that is bad enough for some.
I hope that the OP got the memo and retired the letterman jacket in a trunk along with the rest of the high school memories.
I hope that this young woman is not walking around in college wearing it. That would be just as sad as her wearing her cheer outfits after high school graduation (unless its for Halloween)
When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Corinthians 13:11
Time to retire the jacket. Maybe a shadow box to display it. Liz
This is exactly the right answer!
