Why aren't wooden clogs and flats more popular among women?
I went to NYC and I saw many women wearing flat shoes with hard soles, ones that made 'high heel' type noises when they walk even though they were flat. But I don't see them so much in any other parts of the country.
In the UK women wear brogues that looks like men's shoes. They are hard soled and they make nice noises, I personally like seeing women wearing them a lot more than their equivelant for men. I think in the 50s in America women wore those type of shoes until they went out of fashion, typically with skirts. I really like those but unfortunately I don't see them at all being worn in the US.
They look similar to what this pretty woman is wearing:
High heels are nice on women but they are used so often so I think seeing a woman wearing the classic stiletto pump now gets sorta boring.
Also, wooden clogs especially loud ones that clomp I only saw once or twice and barely any woman wears them. I wish more women wore them and would definitely prefer them to the flip flops that are worn very often.
Do you think that it would be good if women were more experimental with their shoes? I think having the same stiletto pump while nice is very boring. Do you think flats and wooden clogs would be great if they were in fashion for women? If you're a woman, what are the reasons why women don't tend to choose flat hard soled shoes like wooden clogs or brogues/loafers that look like men's shoes but are for women?
Wooden clogs? They're kind of ugly and they look uncomfortable. I don't know why you think women should wear those instead of high heeled shoes. They should just stick to the high heels...

This is because the Dutch settled more heavily in New York.
Somehow going to the beach in a wooden clog just feels all wrong.
I didn't even know anyone wore them.
I'm more of a summer flip flop person.
