For some reason people assume that "thin" only comes in one body type. 2 of my closest friends wear size 2. One is a pear. One is busty. I am decidedly not a size 2. But I can wear the same items they do. So if the pear shaped friend tells me pants from brand x fit great, I know I should check them out. We tend to do well with the same pants fit, even though we aren't the same size. We have the same lower body shape, and similar leg length. If the busty friend tells me she bought a shirt from XYZ in her size and it fit great, I know I should try it on. If she tells me she had to go up 2-3 sizes to fit her bust, then I know what to do there too!
Even though we don't actually wear the same size, we have the same "problem" areas for fitting clothing. (I hate the term problem areas, women come in many types of shapes and sizes!)
