Since I work at home mostly I don't buy much but if I go to the office, most items are from TJ Max. I shop in Old Navy, Kohls, thrift shops (for cool stuff), ebay, Vans, Hot Topic, Joyce Leslie (when I was in NJ), trade shows (buy wholesale) and I like Express sometimes. Years ago I worked in Macys and when I quit, I've never gone back to shop there because everything is so overpriced.
I like Banana Republic, Ann Taylor Loft, Marshall's and sometimes Gap or Old Navy. We just got an Urban Outfitters in our area so I'd like to check that out, too!
Work Stuff: Avenue, Dress Barn (used to make fun of them for being "old lady," but they have some cute basics!), Ann Taylor, Macy's, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's.
Play Stuff: Lane Bryant, Torrid/Hot Topic, Target, Banana Republic, whatever else catches my attention at the mall.
I should mention that I'm at an awkward size - RIGHT in-between the Plus size and "regular" stores (a true 14), so I have to mix it up a bit. One thing I love about Dress Barn is that it's Plus, Regular & Petite all in one store... so if something doesn't fit, I can just walk across to the other side!
Another TJ Maxx/Thrift STore shopper here. It's not ~just~ about being cheap; I love the challange and the creativity behind making my own non-mall look.
I don't have "play" clothes. I tend to buy things that are very versatile. I have to say my favorite store would be Banana Republic and other than that, I shop at Gap, Ralph Lauren (the actual store), Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Express. I like very simple stuff. Solid button downs, khakis, dark denim, a few classic polos, cardigans, etc.
I loathe Abercrombie, too many logos.
