One of the hard things about dresses is the fit. Since it's a whole-body garment, it can be frustratring when the dress's waist isn't at your waist, the sleeves are too short and the skirt is too long, or in order for you to get it to fit around the bust it needs to be taken in everywhere else. That sort of thing.
I am allergic to synthetics so all my clothes have to be made of natural fabrics. I don't mind paying more (even twice or three times more) for a quality cut and classic style dress, but I cannot abide a natural fabric dress that is lined with synthetics. It defeats the purpose when it is lined in el cheapo materials that do not allow the skin to breathe. Why can't dresses be lined in 100% cotton lawn or cotton voile?
If you can produce classic dresses with classic cut in quality and natural fabric, and if the dresses need to be lined, it would be lined with natural fabric, then let me know, I will be your first and loyal customer.

Ol' Wanderer, you make a really good point. Since I don't have the same allergy, I would not even have thought about that. However, it makes perfect sense - don't mix natural fabrics with synthetics....it defeats the purpose. Thanks for your response.
I'd love more work appropriate dresses and more long sleeve options on in the winter. I also prefer the sturdier natural materials to the thin stuff out there lately.
Dresses tend to be not long waisted enough, too low cut, too short, too tight. I am tall and over 50 and I want chic, classic lines that are comfortable (Lycra). The Diane Vonfurstenburg wrap dress is a classic because of all the things I mentioned.
My favorite dress is a black linen sleeveless Eileen Fisher. Cut on the bias, it skimms the body, but hides the bulges.
On thinner women than I am, a classic sleeveless shift always looks nice.
