I am 36 and I have normal skin. Not too dry not to oily. I have never used any special skin creams but I would like to start. What are you using? And do you use it before bed or in the morning or both and what does it do for your face? I feel so dull . I need something.

I use face cream with sunscreen. Boots All bright + boots protect and renew in the AM. in the pm I use whatever us available... Jojoba oil, argan oil, night cream samples, avocado oil. I am not very consistent.

Don't forget to exfoliate regularly.

I like Olay moisturizer with sunscreen. Not oily at all. As you age, their night cream for mature skin is outstanding!

I use a moisturizer with spf during the day (Neutrogena Healthy Skin) and at night I wear something heavier (Biss's The Youth as We Know It night cream).

No need to spend a lot of money. Get a base, store brand. If you want SPF buy a base store brand.

The ingredients are almost exactly the same. Some have more water in them. The biggest difference between a $20 bottle of something and $4 bottle of something is $16. The other difference is the amount of money spent on advertising.

I like Youth Code Day/Night by L'Oreal. Never had a bad reaction to it and it does the trick. No SPF but I don't want that in there anyway, I'll use that separate when it's called for.

We are the same age and I too have combination skin. I recommend Hope In a Jar with sunscreen by Philosophy. I have very sensitive skin and have had no problems with their line.

It is really trial and error to find what works for you. I have used almost every type of moisturizer and at all different price points. Some of the good ones are Boots, which is found at Target; Philosophy Hope in a Jar; Mary Kay; Clinique; Tijon; Perricone; and Peter Thomas Roth. What I really like is a serum used on clean skin before using a moisturizer. Kiehl's makes a good one as does Roth. Right now I am using Roth serum with Tijon moisturizer. Since you are younger, you might also like Josie Maran's argon oil products. Do not believe that you have to use an entire line of product to get results.

Mary Kay and Clinique will give you samples to try and that is probably how you should start.

Samples will definitely help!

A lot of places (sephora, kiehls, ulta, etc) will give you samples if you ask. Sephora has a generous return policy... if you try it out but don't like it, you can always return for a full refund.
