Just bought a size 31 (final sale) pair of American Apparel mineral wash bull denim pants. Super nice, but I can't get in them. Normally their pants are always a size too big in my true size, 32, so I ordered a 31. Big risk indeed, and now I can't return them.
Any hope for getting them on comfortably? If I wash them in super hot water and put them on immediately after?
True about hot water - problem w/ordering clothing on-line - sizes are all over the board so I will NOT do that unless it's a specific brand and style that I know and it's something that's inexpensive enough that I won't be upset about it. It's pretty hard to add an inch...
I honestly don't know how people buy all their clothing online (unless you have free return options, etc.). Good luck.
With spandex, they will stretch out pretty quick once they are on. So put them on, lay down on the bed to fasten them (an old trick from before they made jeans with stretch), and wear them around the house until they stretch out. If they don't stretch out or vital parts go numb, then take them off.

Also, when you need to wash them, wash them inside out in COLD and hang to dry.
