What do you do with clothing you don't want anymore or is out of style?

I kind of feel bad for throwing out clothes sometimes, but I do wonder if you donate or give away all those clothes of yesteryear, will many people really get use out of it?

Clothing these days is said to be made more cheaply and be more disposable so it's harder to get people to re-use them.

I think hand-me-downs or sharing among say sisters, or brothers is getting less common.

I save a lot of stuff hoping to find someone to donate them to.

If it's in good shape, I'll usually donate it.

If it's a higher value item/still in style, I'll either sell it on ebay or thru a consignment clothing shop.

If it's damaged or very out of style, it gets used for sewing lessons with my nieces. (Currently, we're making doll and teddy bear clothes. One of these days, I'll teach them to do simple repairs and alterations.)

I always give them to others or donate them. I usually do not want to throw my clothes. By giving them to others or donate them, i can make the most of them.
