I have sensitive, combination skin that is easily irritated. I really like the Burt's Bees line of skincare products; they do not irritate my skin. They are a little pricey for a drugstore-level item, but their products go a long way. I also use the bees wax hand cream and their lip balms.
.
Me too. I have tried many different kinds of products and Burt's Bees seems to work the best for me.
I'm probably the only guy who uses facial moisturizer, but my dermatologist recommended Cetaphil (the smaller bottle for your face, not the big bottle for your whole body). I use it morning and night, all year round. More important than the moisturizer is the SPF 30 (or 50?) rating. Putting sunscreen on your face daily will help keep you looking young into your 40s and 50s. Tanning may be cool in your teens and 20's, but you will look old and wrinkled by the time you hit 35.
Yes -- but not every one is you. Every one reacts differently. Some people have very oily skin and some people have very dry skin. And some people take medication that causes dry skin, and some people have skin conditions that require an emollient barrier for extra protection.
One size does NOT fit all here.
There are ways to cope with all types of skin, they just require fine tuning.
When I use natural/organic cleansers, I still need moisturizers. Sometimes, they make my skin even drier than traditional cleansers.
Any type of soap that strips the skin will render dryness, whether it is natural/organic or not. I don't mean natural/organic as in alternatives to soap, I'm talking straight up mother Earth when I think natural/organic.
I use Vanicream Lite. I have extremely sensitive skin and this doesn't break me out or irritate my skin. My skin is dry from using Retin-A so I could probably stand to use the heavier cream that Vanicream makes, but I'm too lazy to switch. It's inexpensive and you can get it from the drugstore. I have the pump jar which costs about $13. They make a gluten free soap and have a day moisturizer with spf.
I've been using my daytime spf moisturizer for 10 or so years. It's Murad Day Perfecting Cream with spf 30. Doesn't irritate or cause breakouts for me.
