Which physical characteristic would you change, if you could?
If I could change a physical characteristic, it would certainly be my skin color. I would want to be perceived as wealthy, smart and intelligent. Unfortunately, in this world, dark skin is looked down upon, and is for the most part considered poor, unattractive and ignorant. Obviously, I don't want to be classed as such, so I would opt for lighter skin.
why do all the white women lay out in the sun?? to get tanned and dark??
from lotions to spray millions of women, and millions of dollars are spent each yr (even in tanning booths)
just to have darker skin
what you posted seems baseless
I wouldn't change my skin because I think white skin looks better. Personally, I prefer darker shades, because it does look healthy and the skin remains youthful looking much longer than paler skin. I was commenting on the treatment of people, which is why I stated I would prefer a lighter skin color.

Actually it isn't baseless at all. Maybe being darker as a white person can add status. But for people of color it doesn't. This is probably better served in the psych forum but there is loads of evidence on differential treatment based on skin tone. Like lighter black people get shorter sentences than darker people.
