I have always wanted to grow out my mustache (its also annoying for me to shave it off as I always end up with cuts there). Will I look very awkward in public on doing so. Also, can men with mustaches pull off a handsome look. Could anyone tell me how it can be done ?

If it is socially unacceptable, then can anyone suggest a good shaving technique for the mustache area.

I have never cut myself in that area that I recall. I use a nice sharp razor and shave with the grain while I am in the hot shower.

I love mustaches. My ex had one, and he was extremely handsome. The key to looking good with a mustache is to make sure it is always well trimmed. Nothing worse than the hairs hanging over your top lip. That just makes you look like a bum, IMO.

If you want one, grow it. See how it comes in, and if you like the look, keep it. If you don't like it, you can always shave it off.

Unless they're hipsters, few young guys can get away with a mustache without looking like a dork.

Try it out and see what happens. If you don't like it or porn producers want to hire you, you can always get rid of it (or get rich becoming an adult film actor and then shave it off).

If you have a large surface area between your filtrum and your upper lip and have densely packed hair follicles then you can pull off a mustache like Tom Selleck or Don Frye...

But, if you look great with a mustache, then you're probably ugly.
