I have always wanted to grow out my mustache (its also annoying for me to shave it off as I always end up with cuts there). Will I look very awkward in public on doing so.

I have to agree... I've been sportin the stache-goatee combo for many many yrs.
The thing is that the stache only looks soooo dated.... just look up a few posts and you see all the dudes rocking the stache and it's 70's and early 80's, for the most part.
You just don't see mustaches only much these days... I know when you do it's double take worthy and also joke worthy.....
