If the whites of your eyes are somewhat yellow, get checked by your doctor for any type of liver issues. If they are bloodshot, eye drops may help or a visit to the eye doctor may be in order.
Are they bloodshot, or yellowish? I grew up in AZ and never wore sunglasses so I developed yellow spots on the whites of my eyes. They can laser these off I believe since it is a build up of scar tissue. I elected not to do so because it was not that bad...I have super light grey eyes so I wonder if was predisposed to yellow eyes.
If hey are bloodshot then you should check for environmental allergies (grass, pollen and dust mites etc.)
If you want them white as in contacts go to an optometrist but that is just weird!
If they are red (perhaps sandy feeling) and you aren't doing drugs, you may have pinkeye or something similar and need an antibiotic. The doc would know for sure. Yes, you could try Visine but if it's a bacterial infection, you'll need the antibiotic to cure it. If it's viral, it will probably get better on its own.
If you suspect pinkeye, make sure you wash your pillow cases and practice good hygiene.
If you're asking because you have an interview coming up, find out the cause and be honest.
FYI - Out where I am, it's still ragweed season and red eyes are common for some who suffer from it. The OTC meds don't help that much in a lot of cases.
