I used to have a pair of ripped jeans when I was 16-20, but then I outgrew them. It's been very hard finding a pair that fit me right; I've decided to make my own. I found this site: How to Make Ripped Jeans in 5 Steps | StyleCaster
It sounds really easy. Anyone have any advice, though, that might not be noted on this site? Once I start making these, I'll post pictures.
It's not really that complicated. One thing to consider is that the rips may get bigger when you wash the jeans, so don't cut a hole too close to anything you want to keep covered.
FlightAttendant - it probably is, but I love them. I'm going to a concert next week and would love to wear a pair of ripped jeans to the concert.
Thanks for that tip, Hedgehog_mom! I actually found an old pair of ripped jeans - they fit perfectly now, but she huge hole is close to an area I don't want seen. I guess when I was heavier and washed them, the hole got bigger.

This is a good tip. Iremeber as a teen wanting to enhance my own naturally ripped jeans. When i wore them (ripped in inconsequential areas) my mom was like "where do you think you are going in those ripped jeans, go back and out on skmething that doesn't look like you can't afford clothing in proper condition."
She thought they were permissable in the bakcyard but that was it. Don't get me started in the day i made the news (for winning an award for my school) and i had on jeans with a hole in the knee, she flipped out!!!!!
I'm seeing Twiztid, they're an underground band. They don't come to the Philadelphia area often and I've wanted to see them for ten years. I'm also meeting them. So excited, but I'm a little nervous - I get nervous meeting people for the first time, especially celebrities!
Ripped jeans are a classic throwback which really never goes out of style.. If you're crafty there are so many tweaks you can apply.. Some ways to keep rips in check is to run them thru a sewing machine or you can even use an anti-fray glue to set the tear after a wash or two..
I messed up on the one hole. I'm going to sew some crazy looking fabric there. These are going to be interesting pants.
