Anyone can build muscle and pack on a little fat. That's all a booty is. Heavy squats, deadlifts and food.

While it may be true that a shapely booty is at least partly genetic, genetics aren't going to help a person keep a nice booty. Only a good diet and regular workouts consisting of all the aforementioned exercises - squats, lunges, leg lifts, etc, as well as running, walking, hiking, yoga, will do it. Basically, just keep moving.

This is horrible advice and I hope no one takes it seriously..

The butt is a MUSCLE.. The Gluteous Maximus.

Just like any MUSCLE, you can build it, and it will GROW.

In the last 3 years my biceps/arms have gone from 16.5" to 18"... Why would the butt be any different?

I thought this is genetics like ankles. I do ankle work outs and they hardly change. Ther are women who never worked out in their life and they have awesome calves.

Some things you can influence to a certain degree but not change completely. I remember that Cameron Diaz said once that she works out a lot and everything looks great but whatever she does, the butt just stays flat.

exactly. one of the thinnest women I ever dated had a tremendously nicely shaped bottom. i mean amazing. However, she also had a slightly more pronounced coccyx, which she admitted, which partially caused the beautifully shaped derrier.

So in her case, it literally was a combo of being fit, and already having a genetic predisposition to it.

Ha ha, the butt is fat too. Some people are predisposed to carrying more there than others.

There aren't really decent sized muscles in the ankle, so working them out won't change much, similar to wrists. Forearms, on the other hand, are different.

You are right, genetics CERTAINLY plays a role in TONS of parts related to muscles. Size, fat covering them, muscle insertion points, shapes, density, etc.

That being said, to an extent, ALL muscles can still grow. Can just anyone get a "perfect butt"? No, of course not. But everyone should be able to make it grow, like any other muscle, if they do everything right.

I have gone from 170 lbs to 215 lbs over about 3 or 4 years, and my bodyfat has dropped. Virtually every muscle has increased in size. Not all to some amazing shape that I love, due to genetics, but they have all grown and do look better.

Even my butt, for example, looks exponentially better at 215lbs vs 170lbs. While I always had a bit of a "butt" now I can honestly say my butt looks unreal. I have had random women at bars come up and grab my butt without saying a word. A couple years ago I had some tight jeans on, and this woman comes up, grabs my butt and says "sorry I just had to see" and then walked off lol. My butt has certainly grown thanks to exercise.

Exactly. Everything comes together. Exercise, diet, and of course genetics play a role. But to simply say that the average person can't change the SIZE and proportion-looking part of their butt with exercise is simply not true.

In addition, losing bodyfat elsewhere will also help, if you have an extra 15 lbs that you carry around your waist, you can drop that over time and it will make your butt to waist ratio more pronounced.

My gf was 110lbs when we started dating. Now she is 115lbs after 2 years of VERY heavy exercise with me. She used to squat reps at 95lbs, now she squats reps at 185lbs. Nothing else to it. Her butt has grown and her quads have grown.

why would anyone want a disgustingly large 'ghetto booty'? when I saw Kim Kardashian's butt pic, I thought I was going to throw up.

You must either a female or a gay male.

It's one thing not to like a big booty but it's another thing for a heterosexual male to say that he would "throw up" at the sight of a woman with a big booty. I would have to seriously question that person's sexuality.
