At lunch today while sitting by the door of a restaurant I noticed a women with high heels on. My best guess is that they were 4 inches high. Just like the type that are worn in the office. Anyway, I was watching her standing there and thought " what it must be like to walk around with those shoes on all day ? " I would think you would have to think about every step you take. So what go's on in the mind of a women wearing high heels ?
In the 80s I wore them to work everyday and so did everyone else. After awhile one's body changes and its not so comfortable anymore (in my case, bunions). Bottom line is high heels are very comfortable when you are young, and they make your legs look super good.

But what about what you focus on when wearing heels ? Do you have to think about how to walk or just how to keep your balance ? I would think so..
I feel very sexy and womanly ... my butt gets pushed out and looks great. Guys start staring, because I walk very feminine.
Then the back pain sets in and if I am having a really bad day, I even get ankle cramps and start limping.
Oh-eve you crack me up. I guess that is what happens when I see women walking funny in heels. Usually its the ones who keep their legs bent when they walk so it looks really bad.
My wife looks amazing in heels. Most likely from her years of dancing in them. Went to see the Emerald Ballroom dancing championships this past weekend and was amazed at how women can do all those fast movement in such high shoes.
Women who know how to walk in them - look FANTASTIC.
Women who dont know how to walk in them - look "woman-of-the-night-ish" in them (if you know what I mean).

I have seen that before.. But when they get it right it does look great.
I wore heels a lot when I was much, much younger. You get used to walking in them. But its the standing that always killed me. I loved the "newer" styles that were introduced in the very late '60s and '70s. I never went back to what we used to call "spike heels."
As to what you think about, for me the pain was always underneath anything else I was feeling, especially when I stood still for any length of time.
