Yes, Angel is still around. I like it.

My favorite fragrance is Cher Uninhibited from the 80's. Was discontinued a few years later, but I stocked up on (also from Ebay) several years ago.

Other "old" fragrances that I own and wear are: Tabu, a bottle of My Sin, Channel #5, Shalimar, and even a few oils - frangipani and musk.

I do not like any of current fragrances that are endorsed by celebrities. Most of them smell too sweet.
I loved the Cher fragrance, too! I was so disappointed when it was discontinued. I still have one of the empty bottles. I kept it because it was so pretty and still had the whiff of the scent in it.

I have both Chanel #5 and Shalimar. Shalimar is my favorite of all time.

Sadly, there are far too few "old-fashioned fragrances" that haven't been adulterated, er....reformulated.

My "signature" scents in high school were Hypnotique by Max Factor and Golden Autumn by Prince Matchabelli. I liked the spicy, mysterious fragrances.

For my honeymoon I wore Youth Dew by Estee Lauder.

In college I wore Grass Oil by Jovan. Too bad they aren't still around. Great fragrances but perhaps they'd seem overpowering by today's styles.

I can remember the smell of my grandma's powder and was surprised one day to realize it was patchouli-like.

The old school men's scent that I will always like is Bay Rum.

Chanel #5 will long endure. I'm a guy, but there's something in that that will make me do anything for a woman wearing it. And, yes, that includes cleaning her house.

I still have about half a bottle of the original Old Spice cologne. The new stuff is not the same, even if it says "original" on the label.

The first perfume I had was Delicate Daisies by Avon. LOVED that. My aunt wore Avon's Hawaiian White Ginger, which always seemed so luscious. I also remember thinking Avon's Moonwind was the most sophisticated thing I'd ever smelled! I loved Coty's Emeraude and fell in love with the sister scent, L'Origan, which had a woodsy-spicy-citrusy-floral scent that just made me swoon. My mother has worn Tourjous Moi for as long as I can remember, and I love it. On her. I have tried it, and it smells just awful on me. I have lately been wearing Monyette Paris, which has lily of the valley, gardenia and orchid, but manages to stay warm & creamy, instead of harsh and heady.
