Have you heard about this YouTube show, "An African City?" The creator was inspired by Sex and the City, and wanted to paint a broader picture of West Africa. The premise is 5 women, western educated, move back to Ghana. Very much in the Sex in the City template of food, drinks, friends, and fun fashion.
I would watch if I didn't have to pay extra, I've got enough fees on top of fees to watch regular tv, but, I would love to see this show, maybe if it makes it's way to netflix, I'll get to see it, looks really interesting. Have you read any of Chamadnda Ngozi Adichie's books? I would recommend Americanah, a good read though it gets a bit bogged down, at times with unnecessary dialogue, but still an excellent read. Half of a Yellow Sun and her other books are quite good as well.
I do hope I will have an opportunity to see this show though at some point, I sure do miss Issa Rae's ABG's series.

The first season is free on YouTube! There are ten 12-ish minute episodes! . They have really cool outfits and makeup!
I read Americanah and enjoyed seeing American culture from her perspective! It was like a giant stream of consciousness blog post. But a great study in sociology. I haven't yet read her other books but plan to this year. If I can tear myself away from mysteries.
I miss Awkward Black Girl too! There is also another fun series called Finding My Obama on YouTube about adventures in dating.
