I saw a thread about wanting the fedora to come back in style.
I think would like to come back are cotton petticoats. The kind you see peak out from underneath a long skirt from the Victorian times.
Another favorite are those over the top Georgian complicated hairstyles, with those insanely intricate dresses from Versailles. Let's not forget Queen Elizabeth I, history's greatest clothes horse.

Yes, this! I live in SoCal and travel frequently. Most of the travel is to warm, tropical places abroad and to Hawaii and Florida in the states. It is so hard to find nice summer dresses that have straps wide enough for a decent bra and a slip (if really sheer). Also - sick of all these maxi dresses in hot , unbreathing poly fabrics.
In some places, such classic attire still makes regular appearances on special occasions.
