This sounds like you are asking us to judge women who wear maxi dresses. Impossible to do this. You dont judge a book or try to ask someone's feelings on a woman based on what she wears.

Seriously!
What a leading question....

Lord I wore one last week and was told I was the best dressed lady in the laundromat.

(true story - drought/well might go dry/wash at laundromat)

I only wear Mermaid Maxi dresses, because they are tight enough to look sexy yet casual enough to walk around in.

I happen to like them. And maxi skirts and palazzo pants. So comfy, the elastic waistband is forgiving, and nice enough to wear to the office. I would wear them year round if I could.

I disagree about maxis not being for petite women! I'm 5'4 and curvy, a pear shape, and I love them; if anything I feel they make me look longer and leaner. Both of these were also super cheap Forever 21 finds - something like $10 and $17!

They seem to fare better with tall women. Shorter women can be easily swallowed by them.

I wear them all the time, due to ease and comfort.

I agree. I don't like the way they look on me because I'm only 5'5" tall, but I really like the way they look on taller women.

I also wear them all the time in the summer and sleep in others, plus I wear better made ones on days that I teach for a more professional look. I have them from wild tropical colors to stripes to plain.

I am big on top and have broad shoulders. Basically the daily ones are like super long tank tops down to the ankles. I don't wear them too tight at this age. One reason I like them is I can't stand anything tight on my waist.

I have two.A low v-neck green one with thick straps and a red and brown one with spaghetti straps. Very feminine and more of an A-line shape.

I am thinking of bringing one on my vacation but hoping it doesn't wrinkle too much as there is a lot of material to iron. I hate ironing especially on vacation. Maxi styles seem to be great when you want to eat a meal and not feel your clothes tighten during dinner.

I don't like driving in long skirts. Maxi's may be okay for vacation wear, but otherwise they don't fit in to my lifestyle. I much prefer shorter dresses for most occasions. You don't see maxies much in either Hawaii or Oregon, which are the places I live.
