Well, I suppose the question should be along the lines of 'if you usually wear makeup, would you take some with you to visit an island with only females on it' or some such.
Well, if there's only food for a month, forget the makeup, take fishing gear. If there's only food for one month, then you may as well get a head start on foraging and let everyone else who isn't overly competent at fishing and foraging have your share of the imported food.
I live on an island, but it's not deserted and only women, however, there's stuff growing around here like coffee, tea and chocolate, so we'll do just fine after that month's worth of imported stuff is gone. There's also cows, pigs, chickens, fish and fruit all over the place. So other than your island has no men, it could be a nice island if you pick the right one.
Oh, and in this scenario there aren't any modern amenities/conveniences/creature comforts. Just an otherwise deserted island where you would have to build your own shelter, and forage for food. There are 25 women and there is enough food for all for one month but that is assuming none of the other women get greedy and take more than they need per day. Other than that once all the food is gone you won't be given anymore till the year is over.

No but I no longer wear any makeup anyway. Never did wear much and I can't recall ever wearing it for anyone other than myself, for fun mostly, to see what it was like to put it on. But the last time that was was probably over 30 years ago. It would take a lot more than makeup to fix 'this face' these days.
On the other hand, I don't think I would do well at a women's retreat on an island anyway. Just not my thing.

One big pain in the tush and there should be no surprise by the fact that some women wear makeup and some women do not wear makeup.
Do all of the NOs have anything in common? Religious, white collar, blue collar, flawless features/dont need it, negative influence from others (SO thinks negatively towards those who wear makeup), etc?
I have heard the only reason women wear makeup is because of men, so I am curious, if you were about to go to an island with just women along with all the other necessary items for survival would you still take some makeup?
Are you joking, women wear it for themselves and to compete with other women... it makes us feel alive and look healthy.
