In HS I shaved off half of it while spiking the other half and dying it pink. Fortunately I don't have any pictures!

Shaved it to 1/2 inch all over. I call it my Britney Spears phase.

Mine (male) was down to my shoulders at my (outdoor) wedding, but that was in the early 70s.

I dyed it black one, and it came out like a bluey black - it was awful.

I've also had a perm that turned my hair really frizzy (and it took ages to grow out).

And I once asked a hairdresser for "a trim", and she went and cut my hair very short, which I hated.

I had a curly perm to get the look that was in style in the 1980s. I had forgotten this until I ran into some old photos. For me, a blonde 'fro was really wacky. That curly hair look stayed around too long, IMO. Every time I watch A Christmas Story, I get so annoyed with Melinda Dillon's hair!

Dyed my hair this wine-purplish color, and blue. When it started fading, I realized that my hair was the exact same color as my graduation tassel from high school-and I freakin' hated high school.

I was trying to get all the hair color cut off, so I could find out what it actually looked like. The stylist got a little carried away. I had just recently started dating my (now) husband. Fortunately, he wasn't particularly concerned about my hairstyle.

This was around the time Sinead O'Connor shaved her head, so I got lots of "cute" comments.
(This was long before anyone ever heard of Britney Spears--she was probably in first grade )
