Ok. So why is that a "problem"? Does it make YOU uncomfortable? Like I said, as long as he is productive. The only problem I would see if the customer base decreases and results in loss of $$ for the company. And I admit, if I worked with a male who wore makeup, yes it would catch me off guard for a minute, but I would get over it and press on with my duties.
Heck yeah... may be he is after a guy I might be interested in)))
You think women wearing makeup is never about their sexual orientation? The women who do their makeup in a similar style to the guy in the first post are often doing it for the benefit of attracting the opposite sex. And guys who wear makeup (like perhaps the guy in the link) do it for the betterment of their appearance. So there's no basis to your logic.

I was talking about the "straight" women of course.
But when they start wearing men's haircuts, do piercing, wearing baggy clothes and what's not - then it becomes about the display of their "sexual orientation" at the work place I'd think. So this would fall in the same category as this guy wearing make-up at the work place.
I think that the work place should be kept free of this kind of displays.
What people do in their private lives is a whole different matter.
Exactly! Maybe I don't wanna see fat people but no one should be fired for that or told they must slim down.
Actually, the Cleveland Clinic, an internationally renowned hospital system and megalomaniac control freak, has publicly and proudly declared a policy to not hire obese people in any position.
Finally people are pointing out all the double standards
The conventional sense of "double standard" is that there is a single standard that applies to some but not to others. That usually is not allowed.
However a DUAL standard seems to be OK -- for example, men might be required to be in a suit & tie whereas women might be required to be in a dress or perhaps a skirt & blazer or perhaps even a pantsuit without a tie.
Then, of course, insert a good dose of common sense.

Could you provide a source please? Because I don't believe that is correct.
