Americans are atuned to straight, healthy teeth. If I see someone’s kid with crooked teeth (or untreated acne) I’m thinking, what’s wrong with the parents?
I had a child who went to the orthodontist, and was such a bad patient that the braces came off early and it was embarrassing. He still doesn’t take care of his teeth, I think. He’s a grown man, though, so I’m out of it.

If the dentist says it is functionally OK, I would leave it.

Actually, overly perfect immaculately straight blinding white teeth are a sign of social insecurity, or a career where appearance is everything rather than performance.

If you are otherwise pretty and your teeth are white and nice, it is attractive. If not, then it is an unattractive flaw. Sorry, you asked.

I developed a gap after a tooth was removed years prior. It bugged me, so I did some minor bonding to restore it the way it was. Glad I did. To each his own.
