Does anyone know where to find short sleeved crew neck sweatshirts for women? I used to have some but they are long gone. I'd love to find more.

It's a garment I don't understand, like a sleeveless turtleneck. If it's chilly enough to wear a sweatshirt, wouldn't it also be chilly enough to want sleeves?

I have a couple of short sleeved sweatshirts and just kind of wear them like a more casual version of a short sleeved sweater (which is pretty common, especially in places with mild winters), usually with jeans.

I like the ones pictured in the links provided, but at those prices I think I'd just buy regular Hanes sweatshirts at WalMart and hack off the sleeves. The only place I ever wear sweatshirts is around the house and out in the garden anyway, so they don't need to look "fancy". Sometimes it's nice to have more warmth on the body but less on the arms when you're working up a sweat gardening or mowing.

I agree! Those prices are insane for a very simple sweatshirt when you can buy regular sweatshirts for less than $10 and just cut the sleeves off of and then even hem the sleeves if you absolutely have to. Some of them I can kind of understand if they are the "dressier" sweatshirt material tops with embellishments, etc that you are wearing for other than just bumming around but certainly not just for a plain old sweatshirt.

Thanks for the replies. I was looking for a plain crew neck fleece sweatshirt with short sleeves. The one at Vermont Trading was right, but geez, the price is $49.95. Crazy. I'll just buy some long sleeved ones with the skinniest sleeves I can find and cut off the sleeves.

Short sleeved crewneck sweatshirts are great for keep the body warm but leaving arms free for housework, gardening, walking dogs, etc, I don't have to worry about pushing up sleeves to keep them dry. Once upon a time you could find them anywhere but not anymore.

I live in Florida where long sleeve sweatshirts are too hot most of the year.

Short sleeved ones have a purpose and I certainly am not wearing any where the sleeves have been hacked off.
