...TWO STORES for the next five years, what stores would you choose? STORES - not a designer.
Which and why? to sweeten the pot - you have $300 per day to spend. This does NOT include shoes. You may shop seven days a week.
$300 per DAY? I can't recall spending $300 per month in I don't know how long. T-shirts and jeans just don't cost that much. Sometimes it's great being an old-lady gardener who doesn't give a hoot about fashion. However, to answer the question, where I live it would Belk and Kohls. I especially love the clothes from Belk (simple and classic), plus I can order online from both and returns are easy-peasy.
I would get tired of shopping that much and there is no way I could spend $300/day! Heck I am probably only in a store buying clothes maybe once a month if even that!
I could probably spend $300 a day shopping at Amazon and the thrift shop I help manage. I wouldn't spend the money on clothes though, I have more clothes than I can possibly wear, probably because I rarely get rid of anything. I honestly don't think I've been in a physical clothing store to buy anything except underwear and shoes in five years.
First choice is easy - TJMaxx
Second choice, not so easy, but since you said only 2 stores - Macy’s
I love the TJMaxx/Marshalls stores. I’ve been shopping those stores for over 20 years. Always finding a lot of quality clothing, shoes, accessories, and luggage for great prices. I love Marshalls, but TJMaxx is my preferred store between the two, so I’m picking that one over Marshalls. $300 a day and I would be swimming in clothes. Wait... that’s my closet now...
Macy’s is my next (hard) choice for #2 only because Macy’s has a lot of sales, their online site, and they have a good variety of brand name clothing. You can score some great deals in their Last Act sections as well. $200 dress for under $20 bucks... yes, I’ve done it.
I tend to like premium outlet and discount brand stores, so second choice was hard, but if I had to only choose two for the next five years, those would be the ones I would go with.
MM LaFluer has some good elevated work clothing. And I am trying to buy made ethically stuff. And Nordstrom is my fave department store experience. Macys is annoying to me, but there is good stuff there. And Nordies has better shoes. And purses.

Nordstrom. There's no s at the end of that store name.
Wedgwood, for pottery lovers. There's no E in the middle.
Ebay and amazon? Would pretty much cover all the bases.
