My husband is currently in the shower, and I'm willing to bet he is washing his face as part of his ritual. It won't be as effective as it would have been if he had first removed all the sunscreen from his face (Sunny day in California here), but he'll do it anyway. Sigh.
I wondered the same thing. Recently I've stopped washing the face in the shower due to dryness. I enjoy long hot showers, but now save the face washing at the sink with gentle soap from Clinique. Make sure it's gently but thoroughly rinsed by coupling the water and bring up to the face. It's gentler on the skin. Moisturize afterwards with Cetaphil very lightly.
the skin is an organ. It needs cleaned and aerated. Meaning...opening pores.
Unless your face is not covered in skin, then please ignore the processes of care.
I detox my skin thru steam and thru hydration ( 50 oz water daily intake)
How you choose to slather it after words in chemicals is your decision.
I not only wash my face and scrub brush my body in warm water but I also 'finish' with a good long dose of cool-to-cold water.
Talk about waking up!
