Been using oil on my head for years. Some coconut but just switched to an Aveda product. Also on eyebrows. I do believe that having hair that is constantly hydrated has saved me from damage and or loss.
As far as rubbing oil into the scalp....Hmmmm. Not sure about that. I make sure to NOT get it on my scalp actually so as to not block pores.
