I have the occasional maverick white eyebrow hair and what really gets me about it is how one minute it's not there and the next minute - SPROING! - it's nearly an inch long. It's like it's been stealthily growing under the skin for weeks and then pops out all at once. What is that?
And will it lay down flat in the direction of my other eyebrow hairs? Heck, no. It wants to curl down into my eyelashes or up upon my forehead. So heaven forbid I should be out somewhere thinking I look my best when it makes it appearance. No amount of moisture and slicking will tame that little rascal for the rest of the evening.
A small miracle. If I could predict when it was going to happen I could maybe charge money for viewing its arrival?
I still wouldn't trade it for DH's ear hairs or the one that pops out right on the tip of his nose now and then.
The only reason I can think of that this is news is either it's a slow news day or people are so much more conscientious of good grooming now than they were when I was growing up that younger women aren't used to seeing it like we were.
PCOS has meant that I tweeze at least 20-50 hairs a day, and I'm 34. In a hilariously cruel twist of fate, I lost my hair while going through chemo but still had to tweeze my chin!
Birth control helps a bit, but drinking loads of spearmint tea (a recommendation from my OBGYN) has done me some good as well. I drink at least 3 cups a day, and also take supplements. It doesn't stop the hair growth, but at least it slows it down. I'm afraid that due to my type of hair growth, laser has a chance of actually making it worse. In a post-COVID world, I plan to pursue electrolysis but that's a long process.

Find some mustache wax and glue that sucker down until you get to a mirror with a tweezer. And I also can't tweeze well without glasses, so went to a beauty supply store and asked if they had a mirror that would make my eye the size of a dinner plate. Not quite, but I got one that in good light I can see well enough to tweeze what needs tweezing.
I also knew someone with PCOS who had electrolysis and she was very happy with the result.
I'm not that worried about it. I'm 43 and it's in the same darn hair since my mid 20's. If more sprout I'll just remove them. Much worse things in life...i feel bad for the 21 year olds I see getting botox. They're the ones who are in for it and how much more they'll have to maintain to stay 'perfect'.
Not too many chin hairs, yet, but the mustache area-ugh!!!! I blame that on genetics. One of my grandmother's had a bit of a mustache as she got older.
I bought some facial wax strips. About every 6 or so I wax the area. Afterwards I use part of an index card to kind of push up in the opposite direction of the hair growth. I pluck anything left out. The hair is kind of hard to see so the white card creates just enough contrast.

And do tell us, what's the brand/model of the mirror? I have one, but I'm not 100% satisfied with it.
it's a paywall. Please pay attention when posting a paywall. Not all of us are members. Might be a proper thing for you to copy-paste what you're trying so hard to convey. good luck to you in that endeavor.
2) should i do laser on my chin hair? The 2 most irritating hair are my chin & underarm. I have yet to try laser hair removal
