I am looking for a simple pair of flat shoes to wear to my sons wedding.

I am tall and don't need a heel. Plus the ceremony is outdoors so walking in a heel on grass is a no go.

My gown is full length so the shoe isnt going to show much if at all anyway.

Not only will we be on our feet all day and all night we love to dance so once the music starts at the reception we will be dancing .

I have heard people rave about Rothys.

Personally think they are overpriced but I am willing to get some if they truly are as wonderful comfort wise as everyone says.

I have been frozen on the web site for about a week trying to decide.

A major source of confusion is sizing. About 1/3 of the reviews say true to size while the second 1/3 says runs small and then the remainder saying runs large. Leaving me clueless on what size to order.

IME, if I know I'll be on my feet all day, bringing a change of shoes along can help quite a bit. Neither needs to be new or expensive, just a different fit. I wouldn't wear new shoes in any case. I'd opt for broken in comfy ones. Besides, once the initial "check out what everyone's wearing" period is over and people start feeling the bubbly, music, food, etc., who's going to notice or remember your shoes?

Why not just get a few possibles from Zappos and you can return the ones you don’t keep?

I have ordered and returned about 6 pair so far. I've been to Nordstrom. Nordstrom Rack, Dillards etc.

I am limited because I wear a size 11.

So far nothing has been comfortable in the least.

I was hoping to hear more about Rothy's before placing an order.

I don't own any black shoes except for boots and a pair of loafer mules which won't work so I am going to have to buy some.

I wasn’t fond of Rothy’s and returned them. Lately I’ve been buying a lot of Vionics (great arch support) and Vivaias.

I feel your pain. I wear 11W, which is even harder. I have good luck with sketchers, but I don’t know if they have a dressy shoe.

Ever try Marshall's or TJMAXX online? Bonus if they don't fit you can return to the store....

I think Rothy's are unattractive and way too over-priced.
