Bare Minerals VS. Revlon Mineral Make-up (guys, product, light, ingredients)

I want to get an easy one brush app make-up for getting ready fast and thats light/non clogging. I was thinking of going with the revlon version. I dont want to spend alot & it has to be good for the skin. Bare minerals was nice..But too expensive for what I got out of it.
So I ask about the revlon version...
ICK to both. bare minerals has bismuth oxychloride in it (which gives it its sheen, but also is heavy on your face and clogs pores.... some people are allergic to it)......... and the revlon one has talc which although is in a lot of products and has been deemed "safe" it really isn't, especially when it's inhaled.... not good for you at all!
I use Alima Mineral Makeup.... it's about the same price as Bare Minerals, but I've found that one of the little foundation jars lasts at least TWICE as long as Bare Minerals!!! So you pay $25 for a lil thing of "foundation" that'll last like 6 months or longer!

I agree, not all mineral make-up is good. I use Everday Minerals. They offer free samples (you pay shipping). It's cheaper then BM and better.
I've never found any of these mineral makeups to be good for me. The powders tend to cake in my creases making me look older. Maybe these things aren't supposed to be used by women in their 40's?
I am in my 50's and really liked the Revlon. Used it today for the first time and it stayed fresh looking all day. No ingredients bothered me and I am allergic to everything. I've not tried the Bare Minerals.
uh huh.....I agree. I don't like any of the powder type make-ups. Not a one. I rarely wear foundation but when I do it is the good old liquid kind.
I prefer my eyes get a little mascara and liner. Moisturize my face and go.

ya, mineral makeup is sometimes tough for older women to wear, but my mom who is 54 wears the Alima Mineral Makeup that I mentioned and she doesn't have any problems with it caking into creases or anything........
(ya just gota make sure your face is well moisturized before putting it on, and also, you really don't need a lot, it covers pretty well without having to be caked on)

I am going to try out the samples...And if the revlon doesnt work for me I can always return it for something else. My make-up cubby is BARE! I do think I am going to be needing some sort of moisture this year too...more than my regular aloe dabs here and there...
I am so excited about those little dollar samples AND they are right up my alley with the " good for you" thing.
i havent tried the bare minerals version but i did NOT like the revlon brand. it just didnt give me the coverage i wanted so i am back to liquid foundation. lol, i also found myself holding my breath when i put it on because i could just feel my lungs clogging. (screwy, i know!) good luck with your samples.
