Here we go again. Ive actually dyed and permed my hair during pregnancies and never had problems with defects. Its one of those things where the quantity is an issue, if someone is around all those chemicals all day long every day, of course its going to be an issue. Just like smoking, or working in a factory. But occasional use isnt as harmful as they might want to psych you out to believe. But again, occasional vs constant is the key word here.

Thanks to a friend, there is no ozone layer over Staten Island but her daughter is smart as a whip. Her hairspray leaves a sticky film on her walls and cabinets in the bathroom.

You should really look into the detail of this and not dismiss it so quickly.
Just think..with smoking..it usually takes 20 years to have cancer hit you. But some people never develop it or takes even longer. Beauty products are LOADED with carcinogens.
Not only hairspray. You really shouldnt promote the use of dye or perms when pregnant and dismiss the possible damage.
They dont ban things and pay cost of a formula switch over for fun. They do because its cheaper than the lawsuits that may follow from the harmed customer.

Sad, but the good thing is it's not the 60's anymore. We would go through cans of Aqua Net......the bigger the hair the better
Glad them days are over and we now enjoy the natural look.

What--does the hairspray cause undue "stiffening"!!! (sorry--couldn't resist!)
