I go to the fabric store and wrap the box with fabric and tie with a fabric bow. People get so excited about the fabric. My favorite wrap was chocolate velvet with a bit of sheen on the flat pile wrapping over a green soapstone hand carved box, all tied up with golden rope. It looked like a present for a king! lol

But really..It looks so nice for a special present of one present. Plus they usually have wrapping there and it cheap. Lots of paper types actually.

There are some great tutorials on the web if you google "How to wrap a present" you can find some.

I was at Target last weekend and they had 2 kinds of paper. The heavy duty kind was twice as expensive but it was really nice quality/weight.

I don't know if you have an Ikea in your area but their paper is fabulous. Thick, pretty and a huge amount on the roll. I got about 6 rolls last year in a lovely white and silver grouping although one roll was white and gold. I'll be using that paper for years to come.

The Container Store has very nice, thick wrapping paper. It's also very unique compared to what Hallmark and similar stores offer.

Sounds like you like to wrap too.

I forgot about fabric. Ive done that too. Im a packrat. I have lots of vintage stuff and trim and lace and other klediments. Wallpaper is good too. The discontinued stuff is cheap. I have some vintage but I ration it. Do you wrap your baby gifts in the little blankets with the big safety pins..

If I do something involved Ive started wrapping the lids separate. Makes peeps happy that they dont have to destroy your creation to get the box open.
