News, Hajnal Ban has legs broken to be 8cm taller.
ONE of Queensland's youngest pollies has admitted spending nine months in Russia for bone-breaking growth surgery because of insecurities about her size.
Logan councillor Hajnal Ban, 31, had each of her legs broken in four places for the leg-lengthening procedure, remaining in hospital as she grew about 1mm a day to increase her 154cm frame to 162cm.

Ow.... Why do people put themselves through pain for cosmetic reasons? I'm confused.

So wait a second. If 2.5 centimeters is 1 inch, she went through all this money and intentionally breaking her bones....for a whopping 3.2 inches? To go from about 5'1" to 5'4"????? Unbelievable.

I read about this a few years ago in Glamour or Cosmo or something and apparently the recovery is just horrendous. You can't get out of bed or move for months and the pain is really, really bad. The article talked about how this is popular in China. I cannot imagine that the reward is worth the pain and suffering.
