cheapest thing I can find. Probably averages $10-$15 at the outlet store.

While I was in Paris, I stopped in a small jewelry shop, and saw some gorgeous leather bags on the wall. They were exactly what I wanted. I've never seen anything here like them...not even close.

THAT was what they did for me.
Yeah, I'm not gay or some fashion freak .. or a woman for that matter - But, I can (sometimes) see a difference in bags based on pricing. However, for the women that buy bags based on the brand - that's just as ridiculous as buying jeans based on brand.

I buy 200$ jeans because I can see/feel/know the difference between $200 jeans and $20 dollar jeans. Because like you, I am incredibly picky with jeans. If I am surrounded by 30 jeans I'll know within 2 minutes if I like any of them. If I find a pair I like, I'll usually get it right away.

On to my next point - I find that the jeans in Europe are much much better quality than ones in American at almost-comparable prices. For example a 30-60 Euro pair jeans are much better than a 30-60$ pair of jeans from America (exchange rate can be disregarded based on wages, etc).

That's the difference between trends and staples.

Personally, I prefer staples.

Raw denim is a staple.

I have problems getting any type of pants to fit me, because most of them gap out at the waist. Last year, in my quest for new jeans, I tried on a pair of Lees at JCPenney. They fit so well, that I bought one pair in the store, and ordered four more pairs online.

I wouldn't say raw denim is a staple because most people don't even know what raw denim is.

I disagree, not everyone likes that style.

I personally prefer a nice worn comfy jean, as opposed to a stiffer jean like raw tends to be.

I like Miss Sixty for a smoother looker and Miss Me, True Religion and a brand I got about four years ago from Walmart!!!
I used to buy Rustlers (made by Wrangler) at Walmart, but they don't sell my size anymore. I have to call a place in Oklahoma. Free postage if you buy ten pair. Great deal.

I usually don't go over $40 for a pair of denim jeans. Its just not that serious to me. I have, however, gotten lucky a couple of times, and found premium denim in such places as TJ MAXX, Gabriel Brothers, Marshalls, and Ross...that's the only time I'll buy premium denim.

If they actually made said jeans (expensive name-brand) for curvy women, I'd wear them. I have yet to find a pair I can actually pull over my hips, even in the biggest size. I admit to having large, curvy hips and thighs, but that's the way I'm built.
