Wife/I are as well (in red below). I remember back in the Disco era when men would have their shirt open half way down their chests and some shirts were even made that way (with big collars). Some of todays fashions for women have gone wayyyyyyy overboard! As for me, I was never attracted to women who wore really revealing clothing. I remember many years ago, I was about to have a "first-date" with a lady who told me I would look better with my shirt more open. I said, "I don't think so" and left her apartment not to see her again!

Men have told me a number of times over the decades that they find a woman more attractive if she is decently covered, rather than having too much skin/cleavage/belly/butt/whatever exposed. I used to wear a large, colorful sarong type scarf around my waist and over my workout outfit to cover my my lower half when going to and from a co-ed aerobics class a few years ago. A couple of guys told me how attractive they found this to be rather than to come and go in a tight fitting workout outfit, as many of the younger gals were doing. And I was in my 50's at the time!!!
Have to agree that it's probably nothing more than the fact that, let's face it, men are visually stimulated, women know it, and simply use this in their arsenal to attract the male. Women....not so much stimulated visually. To me....the more covered up guy will get my attention....but HE will have to keep my interest in some other way! (In other words....there needs to be some intellect in there somewhere.) ;-)
Is it simply fashion, showing off, wanting to be daring/slutty, feeling liberated? It's funny I've heard both, seemingly contradictory answers. Someone even said on Yahoo answers that men shouldn't even be showing off their body and only women should .
When men show off it's usually the torso, it seems they're ostracized if they wear speedos etc. Women can 'get away' with wearing short shorts and skimpy tops while singlets on men look unusually casual. I thought guys liked to show off their 'gun's but isn't it weird how ladies usually show off more arm? lol.
In summer I see alot of bronzed female skin and I'm not complaining but I get turned on easily and it gets annoyingly distracting at times...yes it's 'my problem' but girls, give me a break sometime! lol
Traditionally, their role is to be attractive. Who wants to date Chaz Bono?
Self-confidence is the quality that women find most attractive in a man. Humility--which is the absence of arrogance--is a plus but not the most appealing quality to women.
not so, in castro st SF lots of men flaunt it.
answer B

Lol. I'm not exactly sure why women do it, I think it's different for every women. I don't personally dress like that, but that is my preferance and what I feel most comfortable with.
I certainly would not mind seeing some sexy men in speedos or without shirts, add on to that sexy accents and it's a party.
Most women's fashion is designed by men, go figure...
Lol!
