We are new to the area and I was wondering, what is your favorite restaurant in the Rogers/Bentonville area? TIA!

actually there are quite a few; I guess our favorite, if you are looking for an independently owned one and not a chain is: Rubeas (I think that is how you spell it) The only problem we have found which is probably good, the helpings are a little small. Oh, another big favorite, in fact, it is my favorite is Fred's. it is continental and bar b que, but no the typical bar b que, a little more upscale. They have a Sunday brunch (no breakfast type of foods) that is from 11am to 2pm. The salads and desserts are great and the salads are different everytime we go. Abullos (again spelling) for Mexican food is a little Americanized but pretty good. I have heard there are some pretty authentic Mexican restaurants (smaller ones) in the Rogers area but we have yet to find one. For us, coming from NM, Ca and Texas authentic Mexican food is harder to find.

I'd like to see more Chinese restaurants in NW Arkansas. Lin's Garden is good, but in Bentonville there are not many Chinese places.

Lin's Garden has great food and is always packed. I think they could use some competition.

I could live on Kung Pao Chicken.

Some of my favorites for lunch in Bentonville / Rogers are ...

• Green Bean - sandwiches / soup
• Aroma - Indian and Pakistani
• Ron's Hamburgers - burgers and chili
• Celtic Grill - typical pub food
• Bud's Family Style Chicken House - nothing fancy ... just chicken done various ways

Agree with Bluenoter - not many choices when it comes to Chinese food. I also don't think we have any 'knock your socks off' BBQ places in NWA.

You know we have never tried Bud's but had thought we would. Then a few days ago I heard several people talking, their opinion: it has gone down, down, down and the chicken isn't nearly as good as years past. Now, I don't know if we should bother or not.

Hamburgers: we love The Station on Bentonville square: haven't tried Ron's. Chinese food, there is a place in Fayetteville my granddaughter took me to when we first moved here (well I took her) it was really as good as I have had in ages, but I can't remember the name to save my soul.

I love Glasgow's Mexican & American Food. When you walk in the front door, it's like walking back into 1973. The food is basic, but it's really good.

Guido's Pizza is my favorite pizza. Also, they serve a 24 ounce Coors Light for only $2.

My memory is not what it used to be.What is the name of the cafe that used to be next door to the old Wal Mart in Bentonville? They built a new place and moved to a spot the first right when you come into Bentonville from Bella Vista. They had the best Breakfast.

could care less if it is a hole in the wall, sounds like it is worth trying. Thanks to both of you.
