Poor use of tax payer funds.. (Benton, Bentonville: rental, how much, house)

I was reading the news and came across an article about Bentonville spending money on an odor machine for its composting facility. In the article it states that development has been getting closer to it and people are complaining. The permanent order machine is $70k ( it does not say how much the rental is that they have now or how much it costs to run and maintain). This is the same as someone building a house next to a highway or airport and complaining about the noise and pollution even though they knew about it before hand.

Over the years our area has spent money on some great things, however, they also make poor financial decisions as well. Figured it might be nice to make some of that more available.

So, what comes to your mind?

I am not one that wants to dwell on the past. What was, was and it doesn't do much good to gripe about money that has been wasted. Everyone and every city, county, business, etc wastes money or makes a poor decision from time to time.
