As nice and well kept as the Historical Downtown area is (on the bricks) is as sad and neglected is the rest of Rogers. Am I missing an area of Rogers that competes with the downtown area for visual and economic success?

With Wal-Mart in the area I would have thought all the surrounding areas would be nicer.

The Top Golf area is the ”New Rogers” area or Northwest Arkansas's Downtown.

I would say that 3-4 years ago downtown Rogers was not appealing. Bentonville and Fayetteville did a fantastic job of rejuvenating their city centers ---> Springdale and Rogers have finally caught on. It also helped out quite a bit that the Walton Foundation has donated a ton of money to the trail system and I believe the plan was to be able to connect all of the city centers via the trail system. I think with the cities not wanting to miss out on some of the funding- they had to step up their game.

Needless to say, the whole area is benefitting from it and I believe you'll start to see more homes near the downtown historic area of Rogers spruce up their neighborhood as home values continue to rise and living near city centers have become desirable pieces of real estate again. Also, Rogers has spent a lot of money upgrading their parks system, too, making the city and the neighborhood that it services more desirable than it used to be which should in theory translate to higher home values and therefore more pride in their neighborhoods.

Looked at buying near downtown rogers 12,5, and 3 years ago. Each time I was concerned about the neighborhood(s) but really liked the street layout and the older buildings. I would have done well to purchase one seeing what is going on with downtown now. I am glad I got what I purchased instead though. The Rogers community is not allowing the old downtown to sit stagnant anymore while development excels off the highway. The North West side of downtown is really starting to improve and should continue to get nicer and nicer.
