Climate: at 7,000', it's too cold for me. It's currently in the 20's there, and snowing with accumulation of between 12 and 18". I'd much rather live in Tahoe if I wanted to live where it snows like that.

Housing/Economy: Flagstaff is known as "Poverty with a View". Enough said.

Safety: No problems.

Elementary schools: Interestingly, I can't remember seeing any data on this at all. AZ is not known for the overall quality of its public schools, but there are some good districts.

Otherwise, there are 176 threads here with Flagstaff in their title, so there's a HUGE amount of information in this forum there for the reading. Use the Search/Advanced Search feature for posts that contain Flagstaff in their title. Happy reading.

I agree. Last time I was in Flagstaff, the swimming pool at my motel was a solid chunk of ice. If I wanted that kind of cold, I'd stay in TN.

I too may be moving to Flagstaff, so I'm curious to hear what opinions you may have of the area and what you find out
