In all this hot heat? I've lived in FL the majority of my life but I never really noticed this about FL until I came of age to start cutting the grass. And I started in Texas and the grass grew very nasty dry and yellow once summer came. Or whenever the sun had intense heat that exposed itself to. It just always turned dry and yellow. No matter what I tried to do to stop it. I watered it all the time. Even at night for the moisture to set it. Nothing. Then I moved back to FL last September and the grass hasn't turned yellow period. And since then I've moved to SW FL and every plant and grass is still green and vibrant colored. I know the east coast pays by the buck for lanscaping. But SW FL is has lots of dry land. But when I walk outside my house, everything is green besides the intense heat and humidity. The grass grows so quick. In Texas, all of this would have turned brown and the grass never grew. My question is, what is the difference? Is there a difference in soil or what?

Maybe the soil is more clay like in Texas but in Florida it is so humid at night the ground is wet in the morning. It doesn't make it grow but probably is enough to keep it green.

Rain, humidity, maybe the type of grass is different, it can be many factors. The grass can turn brown in the dry season here in Florida if people don't water it, fyi.

Mine will turn brown if it doesn't rain for awhile. It always comes back with a good rain. I know most people water their lawns several times a week.
