Question Traveling to Key West with a big dog questions

Hi, I'm going to be going down to key west for a couple days in
August. Where would be a nice place to stay with a 120 lb black lab
mix for a couple days. Do they have a dog park in key west?
Also, is August the off season? Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Sorry I don't know a place for you stay, but how does your dog handle heat?

August is hot, hot, hot and dogs so easily overheat (so few sweat glands and all that).

Even now in July, my dogs (one is 1/2 chocolate lab) are inside in the AC through the heat of the day.......and I'm in Northern Florida !

I live in Jacksonville, FL. I will be traveling in an air conditioned car. I would be staying in a hotel/motel with air conditioning, or I wouldn't go. But your right. I never go anywhere without my dog. Thought maybe they had a dog park near some water so he could swim for a couple hours a day. It's a business trip I wish I could cancel.

Hello,
I was married in Key West and we brought our two large (labs) dogs with us. We stayed in a cottage with a little yard that took pets. The website is Key West Florida Bed and Breakfasts Guesthouses Inns &Cottages in key west. It was a great place to stay and located within walking distance to Duval St. Walking the dogs around the area was a bit crowded but there were nearby parks to walk them around - I didn't find any dog parks. I think anytime during hurricane season is considered off season so it shouldn't be too expensive.

From my understanding, dogs are prohibit in state park beaches in Florida unless they are service dogs.
